Flaming red sunset illuminates the North Windows Arch, setting it ablaze!
Looking at the sunset shining off the rocks, it's easy to see why this stop is named the Fiery Furnace!
This is one of the first places you'll come across when visiting Arches National Park. Towering rock formations line the canyon on each side. There is an option to take a 1 mile hike though the canyon to the courthouse towers, another impressive stop in the park.
As the sun faded away and most people headed out of the park for the night, a few of us stay around, hoping to capture photos of a starry night.
The landscape really looks extraordinary when the sun is low in Arches National Park, with something photogenic almost every step of the way.
One of the smaller arches in Arches National Park, but still worth the hike and the shot.
Big, beefy looking arch. One of my favorite in the park. A bit farther along in the park, it requires a small hike to get to.
